The Marine View Hotel, Worthing is the base for the fan club's Southern section. The fan club was founded here in 2001. The owners of the Marine View Hotel, Stephen and Christine Oliver, who are also members of the fan club, kindly allowed us to use a corner of the hotels bar for our photos of Leighton Aspell. This area is now known as the fan club corner. Dozens of 'Aspell' picture can be seen on the wall and are updated regularly with the latest action shots of the great man. The wall as become a vocal point in the hotel with visitors and locals alike taking a great interest.
Pictured is Philip Heath sat in the fan club corner, Phil was one of the first members of the fan club when it all began in 2001, and is still an active member to this day.
Phil and myself and normally in the fan club corner every Wednesday and Friday evenings, So if you are in the area why not pop in for chat and browse over the famous fan club wall.

The Marine View Hotel, Is situated on Worthing sea front about 6ooyrds West of the pier, Its close to the main shopping area and only around 5mins away from Worthing Station.
The bar is open to non residents, and features Pool, Bar Billiards, Darts, Sky Tv, and excellent range of beers at prices lower than many pubs in the area.
The Marine View is also ideal for private parties, Discos, and food can be arranged.
The Hotel is ideal for a base for racegoers with, Fontwell, Goodwood, Plumpton and Brighton racecourse all close by.
Members of the fan clubs Northern section us the hotel when they make their annual trip to Fontwell races. The Northern members say, 'Its a great place to stop, the rooms are first class, the atmosphere in the bar is friendly, and Stephen and Christine made them feel more than welcome.
